Cuban Salsa in Manchester
Salsa can now be found all around the world. Salsa dancing is
exuberant, fiery, fun, sexy and flirtatious—one of today’s most
popular dance styles, especially here in the UK. It attracts
people from every culture, ability and background. Learning
salsa is a great way to exercise, meet people, and expand your
social life.
Here at Salsa Freedom, we cater for absolute beginners through
to advanced dancers. If you’re a complete beginner and you want
to master salsa quickly and stress-free—don’t look away. All you
need is dedication and we’ll do the rest!
Private lessons are ideal if you learn quickly and want
one-to-one instruction so you can progress to the next level
fast. They’re crucial if you want to reach a professional level
in the least amount of time. Group salsa lessons are perfect for
casual dancers—affordable (contact us for prices), partner
rotation helps you learn with different abilities, and you won’t
get “stuck” with one partner. Group sizes can be large, so speak
up and ask questions if you have one.
We believe the quickest way to learn is by swapping partners
frequently, so we teach Rueda De Casino (Cuban Salsa). In Rueda,
pairs of dancers form a circle and everyone dances in unison
while partners are switched between moves.
Learn fast with partner rotation
We teach Cuban Salsa in the Rueda format: couples dance in a circle, moves are called, and partners rotate frequently. It’s social, great fun, and accelerates learning through repetition and variety.
Why we're here
Our main goal is to share our passion and knowledge of salsa with people of every ability, background and age. We aim to get everyone dancing in no time - working hard to share our skills while making sure you have fun.
Where & When
We provide Cuban Salsa drop-in classes three times a week in the heart of Manchester City Centre.
No Partner Needed
Cuban Salsa is a partner dance, but no partner is necessary in our classes. We can challenge you as much - or as little - as you like, depending on how you progress.
Our Community
Here, strangers become partners, and partners become friends. The regular rotation of dance partners helps people connect naturally. Salsa builds a sense of camaraderie because you share the same journey; Learning, improving, making Mistakes and laughing through it. These shared moments is the source of Salsa’s magic, and its the root beneath our humble dance community at Salsa Freedom.
Our community embraces people of all ages, walks of life, and backgrounds. Salsa’s inclusive nature makes it possible to connect beyond traditional social barriers. We welcome everyone, because at Salsa Freedom, you're free to come as you are. Honest self expression is crucial to any performer, so if you have any specific needs please dont hesitate to get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Developing your skills as a dancer gives you open access to
the cities social life. Many people are intrigued to know
the city of Manchester better, but don’t know where to start
or who they would explore it with. Knowing how to dance
gives you direct access to Manchester’s best social
gatherings, through the various Salsa social events which
take place in the city.
